Stocks lower as short selling resumes

OZ Minerals sees FY08 NPAT decline
OZL said it expected NPAT for FY08 to be lower than that reported by Oxiana and Zinigex in their previous financial periods. OZL said the decline was a largerly due to lower commodity prices.
Fuel pressures REX 1Q results
Regional Express Holdings, reported a 1Q NPAT of $4.8m , down 18.6% from last year's corresponding quarter. A 5.8% rise in quarterly revenue was overtaken by a near 30% jump in fuel costs.
Babcock & Brown narrows focus
BNB said it would restructure to become a specialist infrastructure investment business. BNB said it had commenced talks with its banks about a proposed restructure of its debt facilities.
AWB books 137% FY08 NPAT growth
AWB reported net profit after tax and significant items of $64.3m for full year 2008, up 137% on last year. The company said all three core divisions of the group increased profits.
CSR finalises $315m institutional capital rising
CSR said it had completed a $315 million institutional capital raising. The building products, sugar and aluminium producer said the proceeds from the offer would be used to reduce net debt.
